We are to help the underprivileged people in physical and psychological healthcare needs so that they can regain health and reengage in communities and workplaces.

Our primary target groups are:

1) Indigenous Communities

2) Seniors

3) People with Disabilities

4) Youth.

 

We bring together professionals in Traditional Chinese Medicine, psychotherapy, art therapy, music therapy and Integrative Medicine to provide education, therapy and counselling.

Health Seminar & Practice Including Various Therapies for Seniors

We propose to deliver 3 main services for the Indigenous community and seniors in Ontario:

 

Remote education and counselling through virtual communication technology.

Produce and establish system to deliver education & self-help guide in video format that can be accessed at any time throughout Ontario.

Education and counselling of aboriginal seniors and younger seniors interested in pursuing Traditional Chinese Medicine and Integrative Medicine work.

Project Objectives

 

Broad Objectives:

• To respect traditional and contemporary Aboriginal approaches to wellness.

• To assist Aboriginal seniors to maintain optimum health, wellbeing and independence in their respective homes.

• To ensure that all Aboriginal seniors have access to an Integrative Medicine healing service options within their communities.

• To Protect: from abuses, addiction and injuries

• To Change: physical and mental wellbeing of seniors

• To Engage: in learning, collaborating and sharing

• To Contribute: by volunteering, working and mentoring

Specific Objectives:

• Establish On-Line Counselling and Education Program

• Develop Videos for Convenient Access to Learning

• Reach Broad Participation of Aboriginal seniors throughout Ontario

• Recruit Volunteers & Counsellors for Long-Term Service

• Establish Collaboration with Partner Organizations (Aboriginals & Seniors)

• Find future aspiring Aboriginal practitioners in Traditional Chinese Medicine & Integrative Medicine
